Privacy policy
How we collect, use, share and protect personal information in connection with this website and our wholesale business.
1. Scope of this policy
Internet Content Group (“Internet Content Group”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the website at internetcontentgroupca.com and supplies name brand merchandise at wholesale. This privacy policy explains what personal information we collect through the website and through our dealings with business customers, suppliers and enquirers, and what we do with it.
We are a business-to-business wholesaler. Most of the information we handle relates to people acting in a professional capacity on behalf of a company, rather than to consumers buying for themselves.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and enquiry details — your name, company name, work email address, telephone number and the content of your message when you use our contact form, email us or call us.
- Account information — the details required to open a wholesale account, such as the legal entity name, billing address, shipping address, accounts payable contact, resale certificate or business licence number and tax identification details.
- Order and transaction records — purchase orders, quantities, pricing, invoices, payment references, delivery addresses and correspondence about orders.
Information collected automatically
- Server and log data — our web host records information such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited and timestamps. This is standard for any website and is used to keep the site secure and available.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see the cookies section below.
Information from other sources
- Business credit and verification agencies, when a customer applies for payment terms.
- Publicly available business registers, where we need to confirm the details of a company we trade with.
- Carriers and freight partners, in relation to shipments made on your behalf.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identity numbers belonging to individuals, health information, biometric data or precise geolocation.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare quotations;
- open, verify and maintain wholesale accounts;
- process, fulfil, ship and invoice orders;
- arrange freight and communicate delivery information;
- assess creditworthiness where payment terms are requested;
- provide customer support and handle claims, returns and disputes;
- keep accounting, tax and trade records required by law;
- detect and prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
- improve our website, our product range and our service; and
- send business communications about products, pricing or availability that are relevant to your account, where permitted.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
Where a legal basis is required for processing, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you or your company; our legitimate interests in operating and protecting a wholesale business; compliance with a legal obligation such as tax and record-keeping requirements; and, where applicable, your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. How we share information
We disclose personal information only as described here:
- Service providers — carriers and freight forwarders, warehousing partners, payment processors, accounting and IT providers, and our web host, each acting on our instructions.
- Suppliers and manufacturers — where necessary to fulfil an order, arrange a drop shipment or process a warranty or recall matter.
- Professional advisers — our accountants, auditors, insurers and lawyers.
- Credit reference agencies — where an account applies for payment terms.
- Legal and regulatory recipients — where we are required to disclose information by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Business transfers — if all or part of our business is sold, merged or reorganised, information may transfer to the acquiring party as part of that transaction.
6. Cookies and analytics
This website is a static informational site. It does not set advertising cookies and does not use tracking pixels to build profiles of visitors.
- Essential technical data is processed by our web host so the site loads and stays secure.
- Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser makes a request to Google’s servers to retrieve them, which involves your IP address being visible to Google. Google’s handling of that request is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Map embed — the contact page embeds a Google Maps frame. Loading that frame involves a connection to Google, subject to Google’s privacy policy.
If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, present a consent choice before those cookies are set. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as required to meet legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations or to resolve disputes. In practice:
- enquiries that do not lead to an account are typically retained for up to 24 months;
- customer account and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law, generally at least seven years from the end of the relevant financial year; and
- server logs are retained for a short period in line with our host’s standard configuration.
8. Security
We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the size of our business and the sensitivity of the information we hold, including transport-layer encryption on our website, access controls on our systems and limiting access to information to the people who need it to do their jobs.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send payment card numbers, bank credentials or other highly sensitive information to us by unencrypted email.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- request a copy of that information;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- request deletion of information, subject to our legal retention obligations;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request that we not sell or share your information (we do not do either); and
- be free from retaliation for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. We will verify your identity and your relationship to the information before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorised agent, in which case we may ask for proof of that authorisation.
10. California privacy notice
This section supplements the rest of this policy for California residents and is provided in light of the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
11. Children’s privacy
This website is directed to businesses, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
Our site may link to manufacturer websites, carrier tracking pages and other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their policies before providing information to them.
